Thanks for sharing this very inspiring phenomenology of the ache. So, the body speaks. The psychic body, that is, which doesn't seem to be fully acknowledged by all of affect theory. The ache speaks existence/anxiety, then it speaks 'about' presence/being, then about vanity, power, authority, and so forth. A metaphysical question and a question of sexual difference, or 'gender'. I'm now wondering if the ache could speak (of/to) anything else. Can the (woman) bodybuilder speak, for example? Only negative terms, like 'failure', come to mind.
